The importance that we assign as humans is absurd in relation to our reluctance to accept the concept that we are here today, but maybe not tomorrow. We have all started living in our heads as if we are immortal. Because of this, we do not value anything around us except for that small circle of people whom we so rudely and selfishly claim as our own. We do not care about anyone around us as long as we and those we love are fine.
It is only when we are not well, or those we love are not well, that we begin to think about others. It should be entirely different. Each day is a new page, and it should never fall into routine. Every night begins a chapter, which concludes, making each new day a fresh blessing. We have this many days, but no one knows the count. Therefore, every being that enters your life during the day should be greeted with kindness and acceptance. Ok – except for some idiots who really need to be ignored sometimes :)!
The question is: Given that every day is a gift, why do we confine ourselves to frameworks that make us unhappy?
As a society, we have restricted ourselves by not questioning the rules we’ve created. We’ve allowed policymakers to decide everything for us, instead of us. We’ve become inert and disinterested, believing that things will always remain the same and that nothing will change. But that’s a lie. Change is possible. Change is necessary. We are the ones who create the world around us, and we can transform it overnight.
Imagine if tomorrow none of us went to work. No one, not even a single person who thinks they’re doing the right thing by showing up out of morbid obedience. Imagine if no one paid their credit, mortgage… no one – would they throw us all in jail? Imagine if tomorrow we all decided to help each other, driven by pure love to make this life better for each other while we’re here? Imagine a world where there is no debt? Imagine if we all started questioning the rules we blindly follow?
I constantly wonder why we are so powerless when it comes to facing ourselves. Despite the centuries of history, we seem to have learned nothing. We have always resorted to violence to resolve conflicts instead of embracing love, the most powerful weapon that could save us all. Love alone has the power to liberate us, and just imagine if we were all united as one, bound by love and unity. No force, no weapon, no form of repression could do anything to us. When we stand together, all for one and one for all, we become invincible.
Everything around us can change, and no rule should be considered sacred. We have created unhealthy systems, and it is well within our power to change them. But when I speak of change, I do not mean small, cosmetic adjustments. I mean profound, sweeping changes that will shift everything we have known and accepted up until now. These significant changes require courageous and authentic individuals, for bravery cannot coexist with the fear that many of us face daily. Fear blocks us from becoming everything we are meant to be, and we are far more than mere earthly beings. So, if we want to leave this world as a beautiful place for our children, and also make it a beautiful place for ourselves, it is necessary to be bold enough to question the rules and everything around us, rather than blindly following what is already here and has become generally accepted.
Because this life isn’t about conforming to the mundane or settling for mediocrity. It’s about taking risks, and forging a unique path that sets you apart from the rest. I want to challenge the status quo, disrupt the norm, and live with a fiery passion that burns through every obstacle. I want to inspire others to wake up from their slumber and realize their potential. We are not meant to be cogs in a machine, but to be the architects of our own destiny.
Every day is an opportunity to make a difference, to leave a mark, to shake the foundations of the world and build something extraordinary. I refuse to let fear or doubt hold me back. I will embrace every challenge, rise above every setback, and continue to push forward, relentless and unyielding.
I will not be silenced. I will not be tamed. I will not be another faceless entity in the crowd. I will live fully, fiercely, and freely. And in doing so, I will leave a legacy that cannot be ignored.
It can always be better. It must be.
Love,
Petra xx
