‘We got game, they got game, he got game
It might feel good, it might sound a little somethin’
But fuck the game if it ain’t sayin’ nothin’
There is always a broader perspective to consider. It is essential to view things holistically, to see the wood for the trees. It is misguided to do something merely to fit in, to be noticed, or to conform to societal norms. Everything you do should have a purpose. As human beings, we are socially responsible for one another. Accepting and normalising everything indiscriminately does not make you a good person; it merely renders you a grey eminence, someone without a distinct opinion or the willingness to take a stand. Relativising is not synonymous with love and acceptance; it is a modern way of ignoring issues that deserve discussion.
Pursuing actions with a greater purpose is the essence of our existence. Each of us possesses unique roles and gifts that serve as tools to fulfil our higher purpose. If we settle for earthly things and view life from a lower perspective, we are not honouring our true purpose. We are all part of something magnificent, united by love.
Your legacy and purpose are what you must listen to within yourself. Being authentic and unique, understanding your role, and finding ways to fulfil it is truly admirable.
It requires bravery and daring, especially in today’s world, where many are preoccupied with others’ lives and appearances, striving to be something they are not—sometimes even resorting to plastic surgery or following guides on how to change their personality.
Being yourself is the most beautiful gift you can offer the world. Doing something for the common good, fulfilling your role in this world, is extraordinary. Your role might be expressed through your beautiful smile, sense of humour, your courage to stand against nepotism, corruption, and injustice, or the compassion to share your meal when others remain silent.
Embrace life, play the game, but ensure that everything you do holds meaning.
Love,
Petra
